Thank you for always using the Sapporo Mount Moiwa Ropeway.
The facility will begin a demonstration experiment of a priority boarding system using an advance reservation system in order to shorten waiting times and alleviate congestion during busy hours for viewing the night view.
At this facility, during peak hours for viewing the night scenery, there may be wait times of up to an hour and a half before boarding the ropeway, as lines to purchase tickets may extend outside the entrance hall.
By introducing an advance reservation system that allows passengers to purchase tickets for a specific date and time, we believe that this will help spread out visitor times and shorten ticket issuing processing times, thereby contributing to improved convenience and comfort. Therefore, ahead of the busy season for the Snow Festival, we will begin demonstration experiments on the introduction of the advance reservation system and will verify changes in the flow of people as we approach full-scale operation.
Implementation period
Advance ticket purchases start on Saturday, December 28th. *Tickets can be purchased up to 4 weeks in advance.
