Thank you for using the Sapporo Mount Moiwa Ropeway.

Due to a malfunction of the mini cable car's reducer that occurred on Sunday, July 20th, 2025, we have been operating ropeways and other services on a reduced schedule, and have been providing alternative transportation between the mid-mountain station and the summit station by microbus. However, we have now completed the restoration of the mini cable car and have confirmed that it can be operated safely, so we will resume normal operations throughout the facility from Friday, August 22nd, 2025.

We would like to once again offer our deepest apologies to our customers for the great concern and inconvenience caused.

In addition, we will resume sales of "Annual Passports" and "Advance Purchase Upbound Priority Boarding Advance Tickets," which had been discontinued due to the reopening of business, so we look forward to your patronage.

Notice of cancellation of this year's "Dance High in the Sky! Mt. Moiwa Bon Odori," which was held for the first time last year

Due to mechanical failure of the mini cable car, there is no prospect of it resuming normal operations.

Thank you very much for your continued patronage of the Sapporo Mt. Moiwa Ropeway.

We were aiming to hold the "Dance High in the Sky! Mt. Moiwa Bon Odori" again this year, which was well received by many visitors when it was first held last year, and were proceeding with preparations for the event to be held on Saturday, September 6th. However, due to a mechanical malfunction of the mini cable car that occurred on Sunday, July 20th, we are unable to predict when normal operations will resume, so unfortunately we have decided to cancel the event.

We deeply apologize to everyone who was looking forward to this event and to all those involved.
The latest information regarding future reopenings and events will be posted on our official website.
